Learn what four Fusion controls do. Then assess a red VOR 1 flag by comparing the cursor control panel, the PFD's VOR/LOC 1 selection and electrical power to the NAV 1 receiver.
Choose a control in this original schematic. Positions and graphics are simplified for learning.
The adaptive flight display combines a touchscreen with avionics computing. The left and right primary flight displays (PFDs) show attitude, heading, altitude and airspeed. The center multifunction display (MFD) shows engine indications, crew alerts and selected pages such as maps, radio tuning and maintenance information.
Select a format for the center MFD.

A technician reports a red VOR 1 flag after using cursor control panel 1 (CCP 1) to select VOR/LOC 1 on primary flight display 1 (PFD 1). The report blames CCP 1. Check the NAV 1 receiver's power condition and both PFD indications before accepting that diagnosis.
The cyan VOR/LOC 1 selection and red VOR 1 flag are observed with the NAV 1 circuit breaker open. The receiver is unpowered in this fictional ground-test exercise.

The open NAV 1 circuit breaker is a supplied condition of this fictional ground-test exercise. This simplified explorer explains the controls and the displayed test results. Current aircraft-effective instructions govern actual maintenance.
The air data computer (ADC) uses pitot pressure, static pressure and temperature inputs to compute air data for the adaptive flight displays (AFDs) and integrated avionics processor system (IAPS). The attitude heading reference system (AHRS) supplies attitude and heading through a different set of components. A lit primary flight display (PFD) can still show invalid altitude data.
Both PFDs remain lit and responsive. A technician reports ALT failures with ADS1 selected. Compare all three sourcing states before choosing the next investigation.

The actual Reversionary Control Panel (RCP) uses an ADS SOURCE up/down switch. This sample selects its documented sourcing results. The menu choices are not three physical switch detents. Automatic air-data reversion is inhibited on the ground.

Textron 434-590169-0009, saved B10 study tasks: 34-10-00 Description and Operation, B0; 34-10-01 Adjustment/Test, B9, section 3 introduction and A–B; 31-60-00 Description and Operation, B3, section 1; 34-20-00 Description and Operation, B0. These support the system roles, display identities and sourcing states. The faults and supplied observations are original training examples.
This ground comparison does not apply pressure, perform aircraft maintenance or reproduce flight behavior. Current aircraft-effective instructions govern actual work. The public sample does not record course completion.
Go beyond the short samples with an interactive component map and paired prediction-and-evidence exercises. Explore the relationships, make a prediction and explain the supplied result. The complete course handbooks and assessed labs provide the wider learning path.
The course pages below include a short system explanation, a simplified relationship diagram, a specific training record and an interactive decision with answer-specific feedback. These are public formative examples; the complete handbooks, labs and assessments are accessed through the Academy.
