Advanced Aircraft Sheet Metal Fabrication & Assembly
Explore the named components, make a prediction, then connect the supplied result to the system. This workshop adds coached practice alongside the course handbook and assessed lab.
SM201 fabrication: bend development and assembly fit
Connect a multi-bend drawing, its process card and the mating assembly. Predict development and fit, then preserve the full inspection evidence through handoff. This optional practice preserves the existing course lab and assessment requirements.
Workshop dependencies: workflow arrows connect requirements and evidence; they do not authorize a physical repair or replace the released operation plan.
Green outlines identify components named in the selected exercise record; they do not indicate a healthy component.

SM201 assembly drawing and BOM
SM201 Rev B connects one channel, two clips and four MS20470AD4-5 solid rivets. Its sheets connect assembly datums, detail geometry and PC201 process/acceptance requirements.
How it works with the rest
Revision B moved the assembly X hole stations from .750/5.250 to 1.000/5.000 inches. Material and outside channel dimensions were unchanged, so matching those unchanged fields does not prove the correct revision.
What the evidence must show
Use the specific tolerance on a dimension before a title-block default. A reference calculation is not an additional acceptance dimension.

Follow the change through the system.
Fictional SM201 Rev B channel, PC201-P1: outside mold-line legs are 1.000 + 2.500 + 1.000 inches. There are two 90-degree bends. The supplied rounded bend deduction is .0936 inch for each bend. This is the kit calculation, not an aircraft forming limit.
Before the recorded change
The outside leg sum is 4.500 inches. Two bends each require a .0936-inch rounded deduction. Predict the development operation.

Course applicability and study references
Original nonserviceable WWAOG-SM201 Rev B two-bend channel and two-clip assembly with PC201 Rev B fictional process inputs. General drawing and forming principles are grounded in FAA-H-8083-30B and FAA-H-8083-31B Chapter 4. All dimensions, tolerances and neutral-layer ratios below belong to this exercise; no aircraft repair design, load rating or physical qualification is implied.

Sheets 1–4 define this nonserviceable channel-and-two-clip kit, its two process setups, locations, tolerances and inspection record. Neutral-layer ratios and all numerical acceptance requirements are fictional inputs. Existing course lab, independent review, final and completion requirements remain unchanged.
Original learning diagrams and supplied training records explain the stated relationships. Current aircraft-effective instructions and authorization govern actual maintenance.
