King Air Pro Line 21 Pitot-Static and Air-Data Diagnostics
Explore the named components, make a prediction, then connect the supplied result to the system. This workshop adds coached practice alongside the course handbook and assessed lab.
Trace pitot/static inputs through ADC-3000 computers to the displays
Two agreeing screens can use one air-data source, and a passing leak check can coexist with an unresolved physical route. Explore the separate inputs, computers, displays and altitude-reporting observations, then predict and interpret three fictional records.
Air-data functional relationships. Pitot pressure, static pressure and temperature/reference inputs are distinct contributions to the ADCs. Display selection and altitude reporting require their own observations; arrows do not assign unprovided connector pins or bus wiring.
Green outlines identify components named in the selected exercise record; they do not indicate a healthy component.
Named connections and what each arrow means
- Pitot pressure paths → Two ADC-3000 computersInformation / signal: Pitot pneumatic input
- Static ports, lines and drains → Two ADC-3000 computersInformation / signal: Static pneumatic input
- Temperature and reference inputs → Two ADC-3000 computersInformation / signal: Separate temperature and IAPS reference inputs
- Two ADC-3000 computers → Selected PFD / MFD displaysInformation / signal: Processed air data to selected PFD/MFD displays
- Two ADC-3000 computers → Selected altitude-reporting pathInformation / signal: Selected air-data/reporting relationship, as installed
Pitot pressure paths
Bring pressure from the two lower-nose pitot tubes to the installed air-data paths.
How it works with the rest
The supplied description identifies two mast-mounted pitot tubes with separate tubing. Airspeed depends on the relationship between pitot and static pressure; a screen label does not identify which physical line supplied it. The described pitot routing drains naturally because the tube is its low point. That arrangement does not remove the separate static-system drainage requirements.
What the evidence must show
Name the side, physical connection and parameter. A good static result is not automatically a pitot-path result.
Selected: Pitot pressure paths
Follow the change through the system.
Fictional configured comparison record: both PFDs are explicitly selected to ADC 1 under the same barometric-reference conditions. A known test reference is supplied. ADC 2 has no independent comparison result in this record. Predict what agreement of the two PFDs could establish.
Before the recorded change
PFD 1 source: ADC 1. PFD 2 source: ADC 1. Barometric references: matched for the stated comparison. Independent ADC 2 result: absent. The display values have not been revealed.

Course applicability and study references
The identified B300/B300C Pro Line 21 dual ADC-3000 installation in supplied Textron 130-590031-11 Chapter 34: FL-381, FL-383 and After; FM-12 and After, with installed configuration and RVSM applicability matched to the actual task. These examples supply selected-source and test conditions; their values are fictional observations rather than new acceptance limits. Current applicable instructions govern aircraft work.

- Dual ADC input and consumer relationships
34-13-00 p. 1, April 1, 2018; supplied PDF p. 50. Defines separate pneumatic, temperature and IAPS reference inputs and processed outputs to the named consumers.
- Separate altitude-reporting comparison
34-13-03 pp. 601–603, November 1, 2024; supplied PDF pp. 54–56. This Pro Line 21 task separately records selected transponder output against its reference; it is not established by display agreement alone.
Original learning diagrams and supplied training records explain the stated relationships. Current aircraft-effective instructions and authorization govern actual maintenance.
