King Air Pro Line 21 Radar, Traffic & Terrain System Checks

Trace the identified King Air Pro Line 21 radar, traffic, terrain and IFIS weather paths. A 44-page illustrated handbook, six interactive evidence exercises and eight two-stage cases distinguish radar base and powered checks, installed traffic signatures and complete terrain-test narratives. Includes six fixed records, two entered calculations and a separate 40-question final.

What you will study

Separate the displayed functions and radar check phases

Distinguish onboard RTA-852 radar returns from IFIS graphical-weather products. Compare A roll and both B/C pitch positions with the leveled aircraft, then keep powered D faceplate, three-display status and actual restoration as separate evidence.

Test the traffic equipment actually installed

Choose the Skywatch I or TCAS-4000 branch before applying commands and expected audio/visual responses. Interpret missing observations and input-assignment discrepancies without converting one favorable self-test response into antenna or RF-performance proof.

Read the complete terrain-test conversation

Keep early MK VIII and later ACSS equipment/task branches distinct. Match Standard, Extended and Maintenance Report commands with report scope. Preserve internal LRU results, required-input failed versus unavailable narratives, overall result and test end.

Trace IFIS weather, task identity and actual receipt

Distinguish the alternative XM and Universal paths, FSU software identity and its actual ECU serial. Keep the named historical XM display-test enabled phase, control responses and task-final state separate from current-product receipt; no real enablement keys or subscription change are performed.

Complete the Rev A diagnostic learning path

Complete eight lesson checks, six prediction-and-Apply exercises, eight two-stage cases and six fixed records with 20 classifications before the 12-question independent review. The lab has 24 completion requirements; the review requires at least 80% and all eight critical decisions correct in one attempt. Pass the separate 40-question final with at least 32 correct. Online completion and supervised practical qualification remain separate.

Learning outcomes

  • Trace the actual radar, traffic, terrain or IFIS source behind the selected presentation.
  • Interpret independent radar base/powered comparisons and the installed traffic response set.
  • Preserve exact ACSS command scope and internal/external/overall result distinctions.
  • Verify named IFIS task identities and restoration while keeping stored image history separate from current receipt.

Aircraft and course applicability

Identified B300/B300C Pro Line 21 installations: RTA-852 installation/boresight checks, Skywatch I or TCAS II self-tests, ACSS TAWS+ self-test interpretation and the identified IFIS/XM task branches. Equipment and serial applicability select each branch; this is not a Fusion or all-model troubleshooting course. Study references are supplied Textron 130-590031-11 Chapter 31/34 tasks with individual 2018 and 2023 page dates. No current-source, full RF-performance, internal component-repair or real service/license change is implied. Current applicable aircraft/supplier data and effectivity govern physical maintenance and release.

WWAOG provides independent training. Online completion records knowledge and simulation achievement; it does not replace observed practical qualification, employer authorization or applicable licensing. Use current aircraft-effective maintenance instructions for physical work.
