King Air Structural Inspection, Corrosion & Skin-Damage Assessment

Connect King Air structural location, corrosion inspection, bonded-panel sound references, skin-dent branches and post-repair aileron balance. A 42-page illustrated handbook, six investigation exercises and eight two-stage cases distinguish valid assessment evidence from missing repair or final-check proof. Includes six fixed records, three entered calculations and a separate 40-question final.

What you will study

Identify structure and inspect the corrosion pathway

Distinguish pressure-area, primary and secondary structure before choosing an assessment basis. Connect attachment identity, inspection access, surrounding coverage and drainage. Cleaning a visible area does not prove that a hidden adjoining area or blocked drain has been addressed.

Interpret the bonded-panel survey and dent branch

Use the two distinct sound-reference zones before interpreting the bonded center-section panel survey. Retain a separation indication even if a later view clears its visual trigger. For a dent, identify material, structural location and access before comparing depth, area and rivet or structural-area clearance. Keep the isolated upper-wing provision within its stated boundary.

Evaluate post-repair balance from the finished assembly

Connect the required aileron assembly, hinge support, chord reference, suspended weight and perpendicular distance to the signed static moment. A correct arithmetic result does not prove the correct final configuration; a later weight or assembly change requires the appropriate fresh proof.

Close the actual finding and its final dependencies

Separate structural finding, authorized corrective disposition, restored connections and required post-work functional results. A favorable survey row or restored winglet connection cannot replace another open requirement. Six immutable fixed records require 20 classifications and three entered calculations, with explicit training-entry rounding where stated.

Complete the Rev A structural learning path

Complete eight lesson checks, six prediction-and-Apply investigations, eight two-stage cases and six fixed records before the 12-question independent review. The review requires at least 80% and all eight critical decisions correct in one attempt; the lab has 24 completion requirements. Pass the separate 40-question final with at least 32 correct. The certificate requires the handbook, mastered lab and final pass; practical structural inspection, NDT, repair qualification and aircraft release remain separate.

Learning outcomes

  • Select the correct structural, material and access branch for a named finding.
  • Interpret corrosion coverage, bonded-panel sound evidence and all applicable dent comparisons.
  • Evaluate signed aileron-balance evidence in the required finished configuration.
  • Retain corrective disposition, restoration and fresh final proof as separate handoff requirements.

Aircraft and course applicability

Identified Textron 130-590031-11 B300/B300C Chapter 51 and 57 tasks, using supplied pages dated 2018, 2019, 2023 and November 1, 2025. Each lesson identifies the actual task/page basis. Limited skin-dent provisions, bonded-panel inspection and aileron balance remain tied to their named material, access and assembly conditions. Current applicable instructions and authorized repair disposition govern aircraft work. This course does not establish remaining strength, approve a repair design, replace required structural NDT or qualify aircraft release.

WWAOG provides independent training. Online completion records knowledge and simulation achievement; it does not replace observed practical qualification, employer authorization or applicable licensing. Use current aircraft-effective maintenance instructions for physical work.
