King Air 200/B200 Pitot-Static, Air Data and RVSM Inspection Diagnostics

Trace pilot and copilot pitot/static paths, alternate static selection, standalone OAT and ADC-3000 data. Use four interactive visual workshops to compare qualified pressure tests, calculate port geometry and separate displayed altitude from actual radio reporting. Includes a 46-page handbook, ten lesson decisions, ten paired cases, three independent measured jobs and a separate 40-question final at 80%.

What you will study

Pressure paths and the actual test

Trace separate pilot/copilot pitot and static systems, the pilot alternate source and named drain access. Distinguish a five-minute pitot hold from model-specific static leakage and moisture or obstruction.

OAT and ADC nomenclature

Locate CB239, RT105, E246 and M140 in the standalone digital OAT chain. Distinguish those parts from ADC-3000 pneumatic, total-air-temperature and IAPS inputs and downstream display/reporting data.

Physical RVSM inspection

Identify the installed equipment branch and critical surface region. Calculate four-point port flushness and angularity separately, preserving individual records for all four ports.

Altitude accuracy and reporting

Select the actual applied altitude and Mach/airspeed table point, compare pilot/copilot indications and observe each selected transponder-reporting path. Interpret a qualified altitude-hold record and preserve the actual repeat conditions.

Learning outcomes

  • Identify the pressure connection changed by pilot alternate-static selection.
  • Interpret qualified pitot/static tests using the correct aircraft model and observation interval.
  • Locate actual OAT/ADC components and isolate a missing supply or data transition.
  • Calculate one port’s mean and spread without confusing them with line retention.
  • Select the actual air-data accuracy point and retain separate displayed/radio observations.
  • Build a restoration record that preserves passed and unresolved findings.

Aircraft and course applicability

Systems and measured inspection-record training using the King Air 200 Series Maintenance Manual 101-590010-19 Chapter 34, supplied LEP November 1, 2024. Model 200/B200 leak criteria, earlier RVSM equipment and the identified Pro Line 21 ADC-3000 branch retain their own conditions. Geometry exercises use supplied converted port heights. Detailed Collins supplier checkout, repair of a damaged critical surface and aircraft operational RVSM approval are outside the course. Current aircraft work uses complete applicable instructions and qualified personnel.

WWAOG provides independent training. Online completion records knowledge and simulation achievement; it does not replace observed practical qualification, employer authorization or applicable licensing. Use current aircraft-effective maintenance instructions for physical work.

About 2 minutes
01 · Understand

Static Port Flushness (SPF) is the average of four converted step-height measurements on one port. Static Port Angularity (SPA) is the largest minus the smallest of those same heights. An acceptable average can coexist with excessive angularity.

Calculate the average and the spread separately
  1. Converted heights: 0.056, 0.064, 0.080, 0.088 in.
  2. SPF criterion: 0.045–0.095 in.
  3. SPA criterion: maximum 0.020 in.
02 · Read the supplied record

Original training record: an identified B200 RVSM static-port inspection supplies the four already-converted positive heights above for one left-side port. These are not raw dial-gauge deviations. The pressure-retention result was satisfactory; the other ports and critical surface region have their own records.

03 · Make a decisionWhich local port record correctly classifies these supplied measurements?

Original public teaching example based on the course’s published scope. Supplied records and values are training data. Aircraft maintenance uses current applicable instructions; this sample does not record course completion.
