What you will study
Oil cooling and configuration
Connect scavenge return, cooler core, shroud and seals. Distinguish the EX shutoff, pressure-relieving return and outlet check valve from earlier installations.
Meaningful test interpretation
Select the correct vernatherm bath temperatures and travel criterion. Apply indicator-specific resistance bands, recognize the limits of substitution testing and interpret applicable chip-message evidence.
Practice and demonstrate understanding
Eight lessons, six prediction-and-Apply exercises, eight two-stage cases, a required measurement bench and twelve independent decisions provide 24 lab requirements. The independent review requires every critical decision. A separate 40-question final requires 80%; the certificate requires all learning activities.
Learning outcomes
- Identify engine, cooler and indicating equipment before choosing a task.
- Explain how oil and cooling-air paths work together.
- Interpret conditioned valve travel and separate indicator resistance records.
- Retain physical material, restoration and unresolved findings in the handover.
Aircraft and course applicability
Cessna 208/208B installations described in D2078 Revision 42. PT6A-114/-114A and PT6A-140 cooling branches are taught separately. Analog indicators, G1000 and specified NXi CMC messages have distinct applicability. Engine internal maintenance, servicing and chip-material disposition require the applicable Pratt & Whitney instructions. Cessna Model 208 Maintenance Manual D2078, supplied Revision 42, Chapter 79 effective-page list May 1, 2024; Chapter 12 sections 12-11-00 and 12-11-02. Individual task dates and configuration applicability are retained in the references.
WWAOG provides independent training. Online completion records knowledge and simulation achievement; it does not replace observed practical qualification, employer authorization or applicable licensing. Use current aircraft-effective maintenance instructions for physical work.
