King Air cooling permissions and air routing

Connect the Keith environmental controller's cooling demand to its compressor permissions, then follow the separate paths for engine bleed air and recirculated cabin air.

01 / Explore the relationships6 selectable components

Cooling request and permissions are signals; engine bleed and recirculated cabin air follow different physical paths.

Recorded state: before the supplied change

Green outlines identify components named in the selected exercise record; they do not indicate a healthy component.

Component purpose

Mode and temperature controller

Select automatic or manual control and request the required heating, cooling and blower response.

Supplied record: AUTO cooling demand

How it works with the rest

AUTO uses zone demand and six temperature inputs to control bypass valves, distribution servos, blowers and refrigeration. MAN COOL changes the left-bypass-position dependency, while pressure and right-engine speed protection remain. Manual TEMP controls still govern the corresponding add-heat functions. The controller does not provide measured position feedback from every distribution servo.

What the evidence must show

Name the selected mode, actual cooling demand, supplied permissions and blower selection before comparing outputs.

Exercise brief · supplied training conditions

Fictional Keith trainer comparison: AUTO cooling demand exists, right-engine speed permission and binary pressure permission are present, but the left-bypass-position cooling input is absent. The evaporator blowers run; clutch/condenser operation is withheld. All hardware and inputs are held unchanged when MAN COOL is selected, including the absent position input. The supplied trainer assumes serviceable clutch and condenser hardware.

Before the recorded change

AUTO demand present; left-bypass cold-position permission absent; speed and pressure permissions present.

Course applicability and study references

Formative supplement to TM-024B Rev C, using the supplied B300/B300C Fusion manual 434-590169-0009 Chapter 21, May 1/2018 Keith installation. Fictional records explicitly give speed and pressure permissions; no new numeric threshold, timing sequence or performance limit is inferred. Current aircraft applicability and physical tasks remain governed by applicable instructions. Existing assessed work remains separate.
