What you will study

Propeller architecture and protection

Trace primary governing, separate overspeed protection, beta feedback and ground-idle controls. Explain affected-side autofeather oil dumping and opposite-side interlock protection, including why TEST does not prove every normal arming prerequisite.

Synchrophasing and diagnostic measurements

Follow pickup timing through controller output to governor trim. Distinguish governing range and capture authority from component faults. Interpret peak-to-peak amplitude, waveform shape, residual vibration and power-dependent vibration difference as separate evidence.

Practice and demonstrate understanding

Eight lessons, six prediction-and-Apply exercises, eight two-stage cases, a required measurement bench and twelve independent decisions provide 24 lab requirements. The independent review requires every critical decision. A separate 40-question final requires 80%; the certificate requires all learning activities.

Learning outcomes

  • Explain each control layer and its shared mechanical outcome.
  • Separate autofeather dump response from opposite-side interlock and normal arming proof.
  • Interpret pickup waveform and vibration records using the applicable source boundaries.
  • Connect command, response, restored interfaces and required repeat checks.

Aircraft and course applicability

B300/B300C propeller systems described in supplied maintenance manual 130-590031-11 Chapter 61, including the HC-B4-MP-3 branch and identified serial/noise-reduction differences. Confirm actual propeller, governor, switches, avionics and modifications. Other propellers and later aircraft configurations require their own effective instructions. Beechcraft Super King Air B300/B300C Maintenance Manual 130-590031-11, supplied Chapter 61 effective-page list November 1, 2025. Description pages April 1, 2018; balance/adjustment pages April 15, 2023; synchrophaser check November 1, 2024; autofeather check November 1, 2025.

WWAOG provides independent training. Online completion records knowledge and simulation achievement; it does not replace observed practical qualification, employer authorization or applicable licensing. Use current aircraft-effective maintenance instructions for physical work.

Can WWAOG train our team at our location?

Yes. Tailored on-site training is available by separate arrangement. Describe your aircraft, location, team size and learning objectives so WWAOG can propose an appropriate scope.

Training at your location

Your aircraft. Your team. A course built around both.

WWAOG offers tailored on-site courses for operators, maintenance organizations and government teams. We can shape the course around your aircraft configuration, installed systems, technician experience and operational training goals.

Tell us what your team needs

  • Aircraft model and equipment configuration
  • Location, group size and technician experience
  • System topics and desired learning outcomes
  • Preferred dates and available training resources

We’ll agree the scope, delivery plan and quotation before scheduling. Tailored on-site training is arranged separately from individual online course enrollment.
