What you will study
Trace the primary mechanical controls
Follow control-wheel and pedal commands through the named sectors, cables and pushrods to the ailerons, rudder and elevators. Preserve the selected axis, component and observed response in each diagnostic record.
Separate trim motion and indication
Distinguish trim-tab movement, the primary surface's aerodynamic response and the cockpit pointer. Keep the commanded trim direction, actual tab response and any indication evidence as separate observations.
Follow flap drive and feedback
Trace the flap power drive unit, flexible shafts, actuators and position sensors. Compare supplied flap timing with flap angle, and retain any missing fault-recovery or restoration evidence instead of treating a measured response as complete job closure.
Interpret the measured records
Use the 42-page handbook and eleven visual views to assess control friction, aileron-trim freeplay, rudder-bias and flap records. The published learning path includes ten lesson decisions, ten paired cases, three five-field jobs and a separate 40-question final at 80%.
Learning outcomes
- Trace cockpit commands through the named primary-control components.
- Separate trim-tab motion, surface response and cockpit indication.
- Follow the flap drive and feedback path through the named equipment.
- Interpret friction, freeplay, rudder-bias and flap-response records without mixing criteria.
- Retain missing recovery, restoration and current-task evidence as unresolved work.
Aircraft and course applicability
The Cessna Model 408 primary flight-control, trim and flap subjects stated on the published SK408-027 course page. Aircraft effectivity, fitted components and current applicable instructions control each physical task. Online completion does not establish rigging limits, physical maintenance authorization, practical qualification or maintenance release.
WWAOG provides independent training. Online completion records knowledge and simulation achievement; it does not replace observed practical qualification, employer authorization or applicable licensing. Use current aircraft-effective maintenance instructions for physical work.
