What you will study
Locate the controls and environmental components
Find the COCKPIT and CABIN VENT, FAN and HEAT controls, MC002 and MF002 beneath the cockpit floor, and UF004 beside the copilot seat ahead of the cabin divider. Keep the ventilation and heating equipment distinct from the optional tailcone compressor, condenser and receiver/dryer.
Trace separate air and refrigerant paths
Follow ventilation and bleed-air heating from the cockpit selections to the named blowers, valves and temperature sensing. Trace the fitted vapor-cycle branch through its refrigeration equipment without transferring one branch's observations to another installation.
Interpret fan, evaporator and pressure-test records
Compare the requested fan condition with its supply and speed code. Keep individual evaporator readings separate, and distinguish evidence that a nitrogen pressure-test setup was prepared from evidence that a timed hold was completed successfully.
Complete the published learning path
Use the 44-page handbook, ten lesson checks, six visual views, ten two-part fault cases and three independent five-field jobs. The published course requires mastery of the lab groups and 80% on a separate 40-question final to meet its stated certificate prerequisites.
Learning outcomes
- Locate the named ventilation, heating and optional cooling controls and components.
- Trace the applicable air or refrigerant path without mixing installed branches.
- Interpret fan request, supply, speed-code and separate evaporator evidence.
- Distinguish pressure-test preparation from a completed timed-hold result.
- Keep configuration, restoration and current task requirements visible in the handover.
Aircraft and course applicability
The Cessna Model 408 ventilation, bleed-air heating and optional R134a vapor-cycle cooling subjects stated on the published SK408-021 course page. Fitted equipment and current aircraft effectivity determine which branch applies. Online interpretation of supplied records does not replace current aircraft-effective instructions, refrigerant-handling qualification, actual servicing limits, physical task authorization or maintenance release.
WWAOG provides independent training. Online completion records knowledge and simulation achievement; it does not replace observed practical qualification, employer authorization or applicable licensing. Use current aircraft-effective maintenance instructions for physical work.
