Follow fault evidence across the complete mission-system path
Radar, EO/IR, data link, network configuration, signal paths, BIT interpretation, and scenario-based troubleshooting.
Sensors, networks and aircraft interfaces
The program scope connects radar and electro-optical/infrared sensors with processors, data links, displays, recording equipment and operator workstations. Learners examine the relationships among these elements, including aircraft interfaces and network configuration. The emphasis is on locating the part of the system associated with a symptom before narrowing the fault further.
Scenario-based isolation and restoration
Troubleshooting scenarios bring together operational symptoms, built-in test results and configuration evidence. Learners distinguish sensor, interface, network and display problems, then explain the purpose of a controlled functional check. Documenting restoration of mission capability is part of the course scope, alongside the reasoning used to reach that conclusion.
Learning outcomes
- Trace mission-system power, signal, and network paths
- Interpret BIT results and operational symptoms
- Separate sensor, interface, configuration, and display faults
- Plan controlled functional checks
- Document restoration of mission capability
Choosing the right training scope
Describe the technician roles and general system categories involved when requesting training. Confirm the platform-specific scope with WWAOG; course selection should reflect the equipment and maintenance responsibilities of the team.
WWAOG provides independent training. Course completion does not replace aircraft-specific maintenance data, employer authorization or applicable licensing requirements.
