The designated marshaller gives the pilot routine movement commands. A wing observer reports wingtip clearance to the marshaller. Seeing the observer does not tell the pilot that the observer has taken over as marshaller; the movement plan must identify who gives commands and how a change of marshaller is acknowledged.
A fictional fixed-wing movement plan assigns one designated marshaller and one wing observer. The aircraft is stopped after the pilot loses sight of the designated marshaller. The pilot can see the observer, but the record supplies no agreed transfer of the marshaller role; the plan requires an acknowledged control link before movement resumes.

Recognizing a signal in a lesson and demonstrating it in the operating environment are different learning outcomes; both belong in the qualification discussion.
Ground-operations topics cover the operating area, foreign object debris and hazards associated with propellers, intakes and exhaust. The course develops hazard-control reasoning as preparation for practical instruction and documented evaluation arranged separately. Supervisors can use the stated outcomes to discuss how instruction and local evaluation fit the aircraft, ramp layout and responsibilities of their team.
